Copyright Text: This layers represents localities (Cities, Villages) of DRC. It was initally produced by th Direction Inventaire et Aménagement Forestiers based on interpretation of Landsat satellite images (scale 1:50,000), maps of the Institut Géographique du Congo (IGC) in combination with data from RGC and from the Cathlic University of Louvain (UCL). This layer was later completed by technitions of the provincal environmental departments of Bandundu, Equateur and Orientale in the framework of the project Système de Gestion de l'Information Spatiale (SyGIS).
