Description: This layer represents all the areas occupied by any type of culture detected from satellite imagery. It includes agricultural industrial plantations, small-scale fields and reforested sites. The data were produced by the Inventory and Forest Management Department (DIAF) with the technical support of WRI, based on the large-scale interpretation (1 / 50,000) of the Landsat, Aster, Alos satellite images, Other data from the Ministry of Agriculture. The extent of the dataset is national and represents the location status of areas planted since 2013. The quality of these data may vary depending on the source. This layer does not guarantee the complete presence of all the planted areas present in the DRC.
